Anyone missing their cat?

This cat got inside my place of work during closed hours and has a collar but no number and a make shift leash… Animal control said to put it on the street but that seems brutal. It is friendly and was shaking when I picked them up and put in our bathroom. I would take home but my roommates are allergic.
