Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your use of the LostPetsNow.com website (the Website, we, us). By using the Website — for example by creating an account, submitting a pet alert, or purchasing an optional promotion — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. What the Website does
- Service. LostPetsNow is an online service that lets users publish and browse pet alerts — reports about lost, found, or sighted pets. It is an information and listing service only; it does not sell, ship, or deliver any physical goods.
- Pet alert / listing. A record posted by a user describing a lost, found, or sighted pet.
- Promotion / package. An optional paid feature that increases a listing's visibility for a set period, offered only where and when paid promotions are enabled on the Website.
2. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You may post a listing as a guest using a contact email; if you later register with that same email, your guest listings can be linked to your account.
3. Posting rules and acceptable use
When you post a listing you confirm that:
- the information you provide (including any contact phone number) is accurate, is yours to share, and does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any applicable law;
- you understand that contact details you submit may be shown to other visitors of the Website (for example, after they click a "Show phone" button) so they can reach you about the pet.
We may refuse to publish, or may remove, any listing that contains false information, is abusive or unlawful, infringes third-party rights, or is otherwise inconsistent with good-faith use of the Website.
4. Optional paid promotions
Publishing a basic pet alert is free. Where paid promotions are available, you may choose an optional package that boosts a listing's visibility for a stated period. Prices are shown before payment. Payment, when enabled, is handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card number or other sensitive payment details. Depending on your payment method, you may be charged in your local currency at the rate applied by the payment processor at the time of payment.
5. When a paid service is delivered
A paid promotion is considered delivered at the moment the listing is published and the corresponding promotion is activated on the Website. Because everything is delivered electronically, no shipping or physical delivery is involved.
6. Refunds
Refund terms for optional paid promotions are described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. No guarantee of outcome
We provide a platform to publish and find pet alerts. We do not guarantee that any particular pet will be found, and we are not responsible for the conduct of third parties who contact you through a listing. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Website available but are not liable for temporary downtime caused by maintenance, hosting incidents, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Privacy
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data as set out there.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page and takes effect when posted. Continued use of the Website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
