Missing Cat- Columbia Heights

Hi everyone, My mom’s cat, Louis, has gone missing and we’re really worried. He’s a very shy and skittish cat who never wanders far when he goes outside. Last night, he was inside with my mom, and the only way he could have gotten out is through the cat door that leads to the roof. We’ve checked the roof and surrounding areas, but he’s not there. We’re afraid he might have fallen off, and if so, he could be seriously injured or worse. We haven’t seen any sign of him since. What makes this even harder is that today is my mom’s birthday, and she’s absolutely heartbroken. Louis means everything to her—she lost her dog recently, and Louis has been her companion through that grief. Seeing her go through this pain again is devastating, and I feel so awful for her. Louis usually comes when she calls him, so this is very out of character. We’re in the Irving Street area of Columbia Heights, and we’d really appreciate it if anyone nearby could keep an eye out.
