East Valley rescue to donate cases of prescription dog food?
My sweet baby angel dog recently passed away unexpectedly, which unfortunately coincided with a food delivery. Chewy was kind enough to refund me and suggested I donate the food so here I am. I’m looking for a local group that could really benefit from a couple of unopened cases of Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN (Gastroenteric) food. Since this is a specialized prescription diet and quite expensive, I want to make sure it goes to an organization that specifically works with medical needs dogs or runs a pet food bank for families in crisis. I'd love for it to go to a smaller rescue that might be caring for a pup with GI issues or diabetes that could really use this right now. I am looking to donate directly to a registered organization rather than a private individual, just to be safe. I’ve heard of Friends for Life and Lost Our Home, but are there other East Valley rescues that may need a little extra love? Your recommendations are appreciated!
