Found a lost cat

I think my neighbor accidentally let their cat out when they left. It keeps going back to their door. I’ve tried knocking but no one seems to be home. I don’t want someone to let it out of the building but I can’t take it in since I have a dog. Left a water bowl outside my door and checking periodically. Seems quite friendly. Suggestions?
