Found Cat Avondale Estates, GA

Found this guy crying and drooling outside Oak Creek Apartments ion 7/7/22. Address is 280 Northern Avenue, Avondale Estates, GA 30002. Closet intersection is Rockbridge Road and Northern Avenue. Cat is doing well (no more drooling/crying), but we cannot keep them. I suspect he (?) got spooked by fireworks/gunshots and escaped. Cat is thick/chonky and very tolerant of pets/touching/being picked up. No collar. Didn't feel a microchip, but we don't have a scanner. Reported cat to DeKalb County Animal services and posted on Pet FBI/Lost Cats of Georgia, PetcoLoveLost.org, and Nextdoor. We have 5 cats, so keeping this loving chonk is not an option.
