My grandma lost two cats in a week because people won’t stop speeding on her street
Hey y’all, Posting here because I don’t really know where else to turn. My grandma lives on Ripford near Nogalitos and people drive insanely fast down that street. It’s supposed to be a small residential road but everyone uses it like a shortcut. In the last week alone, two of her cats were hit and killed. It’s been pretty rough and honestly it just feels unnecessary. There are kids and older folks who live on that block too and I’m genuinely worried it’s only a matter of time before it’s not a pet anymore. We started a petition asking the city for speed bumps or literally any kind of traffic calming. It takes like 30 seconds to sign and it would mean a lot. Link to petition: Even if you don’t live nearby, sharing it helps. This stuff happens all over the city and nothing changes unless people make noise about it. Appreciate any support. submitted by [comments]
