Found a cat that needs help. Is there a vet or organization that offers financial assistance for strays or lost cats?
I found a Tuxedo cat outside my house in SODO near Greenwood. It’s incredibly sweet and friendly, definitely domesticated. It also seems a little lethargic, slightly underweight, and has a very scabby nose. I think it’s been outside for a while. I want to make sure this kitty is doing alright. We’re even open to fostering temporarily — However, we already have cats in the house so we can’t bring in a new cat without a clean bill of health. With his current state I’m worried a vet visit won’t be cheap, and money is already tight. Does anyone know of any organizations that help with vet costs for people willing to foster? Or alternatively, a vet that offers reduced prices for stray/foster situations? If anyone has any other general advice, I’ll take all the help I can get! I’m attaching a picture to this post, feel free to share and spread the word. If anyone recognizes this cat, please let me know! They’re so sweet and I would love to get them back to their people — or find some new people to love on this cutie. submitted by [comments]
