Found Dog Needs Home

Searching Found Miami May 24, 2026
Good boy looking for a permanent home. We found him in Little Haiti a month ago; he is not microchipped. Ricky is a happy, curious, and friendly dog that is good with kids, great with the elderly, and would thrive in a family environment. He is most likely less than a year old and not yet neutered. He loves to cuddle and play fetch, and does great on car rides, especially if he can stick his head out of the window. He isn’t food-aggressive or fear-aggressive and has a sweet disposition. He is very friendly with other dogs (male and female), as well as chickens. He will chase lizards and cats but not in an aggressive way. He is housebroken. Strong, but walks well on leash, and can run alongside someone with proper training. 80% crate trained. Sometimes it takes him a while to get settled in the crate but a stuffed bone with peanut butter and a durable comfort toy to keep him company helps, as well as a blanket. He can be left in crate for 6 hours regularly without any problem and up to 8 hours if needed. He is also calm and playful when outside of the crate. He is a lover boy who just wants to be with people. He needs regular walks, exercise and stimulation to help ease anxiety, and is incredibly smart. In a month he’s learned key words like “sit,” “down,” “paw,” and “off.” With a good routine, he will be the best friend a family has ever had. We can’t keep this sweet boy due to housing constraints, but we’ve loved getting to know him and give him love and affection as long as we’ve been able to. Ricky has a collar, a bed, some toys, and bowls of his own. submitted by [comments]
