Good cat rescues around fort worth?

We found an injured kitten with a torn nail tonight. Cleaned her up and gave her food and water. We don't have the resources to have any surgery to be done for the kitten's torn nail, which made me realize we probably don't need a pet right now as it is. (Our landlord also doesn't allow pets.) I don't want to take her somewhere where she may be put down for the injury or due to non adoption. What are some good cat rescues that y'all know of? Willing to drive a bit. I saw one in Weatherford called Weatherford Whiskers - anyone have experience with them?
