Helping Friend Rehome Late Father's Dog

Hello all! I am seeking some urgent advice. My friend lost her father last week and has been unable to find a new home for his dog. The dog is a female yellow Labrador mix and is sweet but a bit nervous. My friend cannot take the dog back to Austin with her, as they already have a dog who doesn't always get along with other dogs. I am also unable to transport the dog to where I live, as I am several states away and can't cover the cost. I'm just trying to help her so she has one less thing to worry about while dealing with a loss in her family. I have already tried Mission Valley, Animal Rescue Leage, the humane society, and the Animal Services Center. Everyone is either full or hasn't called me back. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dog rescue in El Paso that I can try contacting? Thank you so much!
