Found a kitten, looking for resources
Found this little bugger in our backyard living in some corrugated pipe. Lured it in with temptations (sucker), gave it a flea bath, and just got it back from the vet after a spay / flea / worm treatment. She’s 8 weeks, 2 lbs, and an absolute mush. Does great with little kids (thoroughly confirmed by my 3 year old). The vet did mention she tested for FIV but said it’s very rare in kittens and likely was flagged from Mom’s antibodies, recommending a retest in 4 weeks. Here’s what I’m hoping for some help with: seems like Metro, fosters, LAFS are all packed. We’ve tried a few social networks to limited avail. I’ve got my hands full with a dog, a cat, and two babies. It’s too sweet / domesticated to become another neighborhood cat. What other resources would you folks suggest? TLDR; found a cat > fixed it > it’s a mush > everyone’s out of space > I refuse to commit her to the streets > what do I do?
