Update On NYE I-75 Pup - We Adoted Him

Since so many people seemed to be interested about the dog that we found I-75 coming home from downtown on NYE, I wanted to give an update. He was chipped and had quite the history based, even with a couple of people who commented. He had been in multiple shelters and is apparently an escape artist. We found out that he was recently loose in mid-December and taken to DAC where his owner eventually picked him up on the last day. Two weeks later and he was out again. DACC tried to contact him and he never returned their call. After waiting the holding period, we decided to adopt him. We recently lost our two 9yo Newfies 3 weeks apart and weren't really interested in another dog at this time as it has been rough for us. Given his history, we didn't want him to end up back in shelter or the streets and decided to give him a home. He is an extremely sweet and well behaved sog. We have had no issues with him so far, but did order a GPS tracker for his collar just in case. I am not sure how he has had so many issues in his past, but he seems very happy and comfortable at home with us.
