Help Find Dog

So I’m aware I might be judged, but I do ask that those who comment please be nice. I never intended for this type of situation to ever happen, and my heart is still broken. I was previously working at a vet hospital and helping at an adoption shop that the hospital company owned. On Valentines Day 2024, we got new puppies in and I decided to take one home. Believed to be a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees. I named her Penelope and often called her Nellie. (If you know me by that info alone, no you don’t 😭). Anywho… fast forward to December 2024, I became homeless due to some family issues. I decided to board Nellie with Yardstick (I believe it was the East location; and yes, I’m aware they’re expensive - I used to work for them) while I figured out a housing situation. Well… had no other choice but to move in with my abusive brother, who had a young child that’s deathly allergic to dogs… and I no longer had money to pay for boarding. I continuously tried contacting MACC to let them know, to see about getting her from the boarding place, while also looking to reh*me her (I was contacting friends, making posts online, etc etc.). MACC could never pick up the phone or return my calls. I tried working with Yardstick to find a home or get in touch with MACC. Nothing was coming from it, and I struggle deeply with depression so I was already mentally going through it. I made the very tough (and stupid, I’m aware) decision to stop responding/ignore Yardstick. I knew that they would have to get MACC to get the dog from their facility, and that technically I’d be “abandoning” my dog - despite trying so hard to find her a good home. But there was nothing else I could do. I tried searching all over online for any sign of her… never found her. So I have no idea what happened wit
