Found Injured Tuxedo Cat

Hi All! We live in North Providence and yesterday evening we saw this little kitty under a bush in our neighborhood near a dumpster. The kitty came right up to my partner meowing and clearly limping (not bleeding though). My partner retrieved a carrier and treats from our house and after returning to the area was able to get kitty into the carrier. We’re taking kitty to the Providence Animal Rescue League to see if there’s a microchip and to get the injured back legs checked out, will update with any relevant news. We called Animal Control to notify as well since PARL was closed for the evening. We checked for lost cat posters and asked some people in the neighborhood, and are also posting on Facebook. Kitty is currently safe in our office (separate from our own kitties) with food/water/litter/blankets; eating (appears to favor tuna flavors) and drinking water. Currently unable to determine gender; back legs appear injured (limping, walking slightly turned in) but no open wounds: kitty doesn’t put a ton of weight on either but will put slightly more weight on the left over the right. Very friendly, definitely knows people; was familiar with the sound of a treat bag opening/shaking. Kitty is pretty skinny at the moment and also looks maybe like a young adult? If this kitty currently has a home missing them we want them to be safely returned!
