Freya needs a new home with no small animals.

Searching Found Dayton May 13, 2026
Some of you may recognize the first picture. I found her at the corner of S Union & Dayton Liberty Rd on March 3rd, no tags, no microchip. Posted her everywhere, notified ARC, Humane Society and SICSA, called most of the local vets. She had a couple meet & greets and went to a new home on 3/16. Unfortunately it is not working out there, she must have a home with no small dogs or cats. What I know about her - she was very cautious when I was a stranger trying to catch her, it took me over an hour and 3 rounds of increasingly yummy snacks (thanks again to the bus driver, and Jeep Good Samaritan!) She didn’t show aggressive behavior, just “who are you?” kind of wariness. I got her checked for a microchip at MedVet, and she didn’t seem reactive to the large Doberman at the desk. Adopter said she’s had a play date with a dog of equivalent size, and that went well after good introduction. After a day or so, she warmed up to us, and would get happy zoomies when we came into her field. She seems youngish, with shiny white teeth and no plaque. Unfortunately, we can’t be her forever (or even temporary) home, as we have inside cats and barn cats -one of whom has a death wish and she almost caught more than once. If you’re interested, please let me know and I can put you in contact with her adopter.
