What can I do about my landlord in a situation like this?

It's officially been a week since our AC broke down and started blowing out hot ass air instead. I tried to get my landlord to care about the situation at least half as much as I do, but as of now he hasn't bothered contacting me about getting it fixed. I had to move things out in the literal middle of the night because it was the coolest we could move around in. I had maybe two hours of sleep in the three days we were stuck there, and in one occasion all my foster cats slipped out through the open windows and doors and haven't been back since. I don't blame them. I've lost food and pets (my tank of pre-covid fish died from the water getting too hot) and currently both spouse and I are unemployed, so we took a huge hit from the loss.
