Found Dog – Sweet Female Puppy Pit Bull. Originally found in Queens, now in EV

Searching Found New York May 13, 2026
On Friday I was on a walk in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. I complemented a guy on his dog, and he said "thanks, I found her, but I can't keep her." Apparently he found her on Tuesday or Wednesday while walking into a building in Queens – she followed him around and he started to take care of her short term. I said I would take care of her and help her find a home. She's probably 6 months old. She's extremely sweet and friendly to both dogs and people. I went to the local vet to check for a microchip, but none was found. No tags either. She's more comfortable indoors rather than outdoors, so she likely escaped or ran away from home. I'm looking to either find her original family or to see if anyone would be interested in adopting her and caring for her. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.
