Kitty with heartworm needs a home

A friend took in a stray kitty, but unfortunately found out that she has heartworm and is unable to care for her. She needs a home because we don’t want her to spend the rest of her life in a shelter. We’re still waiting on a more definitive test to come back to figure out what the next steps are for her, but she also fluid buildup in her abdomen which doesn’t look very good :/ The kitty (I call her Angel) is the sweetest cat ever, will head butt you for pets, and loves attention! She’s also very motherly to younger cats in the colony and close with two other cats but one of them especially (the grey tabby in pic 3, we're not sure if they're bonded or not but if they are I'd like for them to stay together). She really deserves to have a loving home. She’s negative for FIV and FeLV. If anyone is able adopt or foster her please let me know! The other caretaker of the colony has offered to help cover the cost of medicine, we just really want her to have a good home. submitted by [comments]
